The above words from First Thessalonians are the last words that I spoke to my 94 year old Mother days from her passing to YAH. Being totally incapacitated she could not respond. Her passing at 4:10 PM on Shabbat 2 Kislev 5776 was release from a life of blindness and recently, total incapacitation. Praise YAH!

My thoughts and prayers are with my father who lost his beloved wife of sixty seven years, and my sister who loved her Mother dearly, caring for her constantly. May the above words ring true for us who have total unwavering hope in YAH through Y’shua.

Mom was a passionate lover of YAH and Y’shua. She would spend hours discussing her deep and abiding faith! It ever was so with her. Near blind and then fully blind all of my memory, I never once heard her complain. Together in the quiet of her room we would drive through the Atlanta, Georgia or her childhood. I would sit for hours as she described in vivid color where she was driving. A positive person because of her faith, she did nothing but praise YAH with joy!

Faith is a gift of the Ruach. She heard –The-VOICE- and lived a life of inspiration. I was blessed with a Mother of Faith who with a smile always encouraged my faith, even in the worst of times.

…and you are to teach them carefully to your children.

Deuteronomy 6

(A:vi, S: v) 4 “Sh’ma, Yisra’el! Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad [Hear, Isra’el! Adonai our God, Adonai is one]; 5 and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources. 6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; 7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them on your hand as a sign, put them at the front of a headband around your forehead, 9 and write them on the door-frames of your house and on your gates.
