LISTEN-UP!

"Stand up! I'm here to pray for you!"

Rosh Hashanah 1 Tishrei 5772 (09/29/2011)

Using the local bus system, my habit was to travel to the Messianic Synagogue early and sit reading the Bible in McDonalds with a cup of coffee. That evening a woman came into McDonalds and I absentmindedly looked up. Nothing unusual, but the feeling of the Ruach traveled through my entire body causing me to "note" the woman in my memory.

After the Erev Rosh Hashanah service, we all are in the social hall and I am standing in line with my friend. This same woman, whom I had never met, and have never seen again came over to me with great speed and purpose. That same feeling of the Ruach goes through me twice. Once now when I see her again and again when she starts praying for me.

She pulls me (literally!) over to a table and we sit to talk.  After a short enigmatic conversation she looks commandingly at me and says; “I am here for you. You have a big job to do. You are in danger. You are a target. I am here to pray for you.” She stands and commands: “Stand up!” Unquestioningly I stand. She grabs hold of my suit coat sleeve and starts praying. This is not private. The room is full of people. She prays for about two minutes. When I first heard her pray, I was startled. Each word was precisely measured as if made of 5 letters each with two spaces between each word. As each word was spoken it was heard as if music. I could also see each word in color with my closed eyes. The entire prayer of about two minutes was composed of "words" that formed a string of precisely spaced, multicolored, beautiful sounding pearls. Shockingly beautiful!

When done she looked me in the eye and said, “I have to go.” and quickly leaves the building. I just stand there stunned and immobile! What is going on? This was in public, in a room full of people. No one knows this woman. No one saw her praying. No one remembers her. All I could say was; “Dear L-rd help me to understand!!”

An unknown woman, or.....?

At the 43.00 mark, hear the miraculous story of Richard Morrow and his rescue of a man in a burning car.

1 You who live in the shelter of ‘Elyon,

who spend your nights in the shadow of Shaddai,

2 who say to Adonai, “My refuge! My fortress!

My God, in whom I trust!” —

3 he will rescue you from the trap of the hunter

and from the plague of calamities;

4 he will cover you with his pinions,

and under his wings you will find refuge;

his truth is a shield and protection.

5 You will not fear the terrors of night

or the arrow that flies by day,

6 or the plague that roams in the dark,

or the scourge that wreaks havoc at noon.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,

ten thousand at your right hand;

but it won’t come near you.

8 Only keep your eyes open,

and you will see how the wicked are punished.

9 For you have made Adonai, the Most High,

who is my refuge, your dwelling-place.

10 No disaster will happen to you,

no calamity will come near your tent;

11 for he will order his angels to care for you

and guard you wherever you go.

12 They will carry you in their hands,

so that you won’t trip on a stone.

13 You will tread down lions and snakes,

young lions and serpents you will trample underfoot.

14 “Because he loves me, I will rescue him;

because he knows my name, I will protect him.

15 He will call on me, and I will answer him.

I will be with him when he is in trouble.

I will extricate him and bring him honor.

16 I will satisfy him with long life

and show him my salvation.”

1 But now this is what Adonai says,

he who created you, Ya‘akov,

he who formed you, Isra’el:

“Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you;

I am calling you by your name; you are mine.

2 When you pass through water, I will be with you;

when you pass through rivers, they will not overwhelm you;

when you walk through fire, you will not be scorched —

the flame will not burn you.

3 For I am Adonai, your God,

the Holy One of Isra’el, your Savior —
