I woke up wide-awake today at 4 am, still vividly seeing my dream. In the darkness of my bedroom, the dream was alive, vibrant, bright and crystal clear. As I looked at it, turning it like a crystal in the sunlight, I realized that this is the third time to see this same exact dream. I woke up in the same way, from the same dream, in the summer of 2008, the winter of 2009 and now this morning (6/28/09). I rarely dream, and if I do, the dream is almost always instantly forgotten. The first time, I thought it was novel. The second time, I was perplexed. Now today it is the third time; why? Having seen this dream for the third time in a year, I have questions. Why? What is the point? What do I do with this? Keep it to myself? Send it to someone? If so, to whom? The symbolism is obvious. Yeshua is the light of the world. Beyond that, I am at a loss to understand.

The Dream

In the severe dark of a pitch-black “night”, I am standing in a parking lot across the street from the shul. It is an amazing sight! A 50-foot tall lighthouse is sitting on the roof radiating intensely bright light up from its top. Normally a lighthouse has windows on all sides at the top, and light is projected horizontally 360 degrees. This lighthouse is different. It has a half sphere on top and brilliant, intense light is projected upward in all directions. The light is so intense and brilliant that it is blinding. The light reflects off the clouds that are somewhere around 3,000 to 5,000 feet in altitude. I am transfixed looking at the light streaming upward. As I look away, I am struck by the fact that there is no light; none whatsoever, from streetlights, cars, houses, or people. In the pitch black of this “night”, the only light is the brilliantly intense light streaming upward from the sphere on top. At this point I wake up, wide awake and sit up in bed, still seeing the lighthouse.

3 “‘Work is to be done on six days; but the seventh day is a Shabbat of complete rest, a holy convocation; you are not to do any kind of work; it is a Shabbat for Adonai, even in your homes.

Matthew 28: Aramaic English NT

19. Go therefore, make disciples of all nations and immerse them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Ruach haKodesh.

20. And teach them to keep all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.
