"Life up your arms and hold them out."
Des Moines, Iowa | 20 Shevat 5772 (02/13/12)
Praying today is difficult. Pride. Humility. False Humility. So many things and concepts running through my head. Additionally I feel the effects of not praying as I need to do. Discouraged! Half way along I hear
-The-VOICE- "Lift up your arms and hold them out."
In obedience, I stretch out my arms and with the Tallit, they look like wings. All of a sudden I am 500 feet in the air, looking down at me praying. Looking into the distance I see a ridgeline running from mountain to mountain far into the distance. To the left the ridge and mountains are black and sinister, while to the right is bright light. As I look I see others spaced far apart facing the evil, praying. The petitions from praying are flying up in front like great flocks of birds. Spaced miles apart the others are praying with arms stretched out the same way. As far as I can see there are people praying, but they are miles apart. There are many--BUT! We are far from each other; AND SO FEW! More are needed!
What we deal with in prayer is spiritual and REAL. The ridgeline is almost bare. Many are praying for the breaking of evil, but far more people praying are needed. -----After three hours, exhausted, I sat down.
THE LETTER OF YA'AKOV (JAMES) CHAPTER 5 (Aramaic English NT)
1. O you rich ones, wail and weep on account of the miseries that are coming upon you. 2. For your wealth is spoiled and rotten; and your garments are moth-eaten: 3. and your gold and your silver have rusted through; and the rust of them will be testimony against you; and it will devour your flesh. You have heaped up a fire to you against the latter days. 4. Behold, the wages of the laborers who have reaped your ground, which you have criminally withheld, shouts out; and the shouting of the reapers has entered the ears of Master YHWH Tzva’ot. 5. For you have lived in pleasure on the earth, and reveled and feasted your bodies as in a day of slaughter. 6. You have condemned and murdered the just, and none prevented you. 7. But, my Brothers, be patient until the coming of Master YHWH; like the farmer who waits for the precious fruits of his ground and is patient as to them until he receives the early and the latter rain.22 8. So also be you patient and build up your hearts, for the coming of our Master (Y’shua) draws near. 9. Have no quarrel one against another, my Brothers, or else you be judged: for behold, the judgment stands before the door. 10. For patience in your great sufferings, my Brothers, take hold of the example of the prophets who spoke in the name of Master YHWH. 11. For behold, we ascribe blessedness to them who have persevered. You have heard of the patience of Job; and you have seen the result which Master YHWH created for him: for Master YHWH is merciful and compassionate.
Note 22: Hosea 6:1-3 reveals Mashiyach will come as the former and latter rain. See also Deuteronomy 11:14; Jeremiah 5:24; Joel 2:23.
