Columbus, Ohio; 25 July 2011

 

     Why am I in Columbus, Ohio? Since 7/25/11 so much has happened that I question no further. But still to this date I still am not sure WHY, and you know, that’s OK! But, there is still the battle in the mind. Do I follow the leading of the Ruach, or do I give in and follow what I want to do?

 

     By late summer 2011 the reason that I moved to Columbus had completely fallen apart; indeed confirmed with an outstanding dream that even when I was awake continued, a vision. My prayer in the morning and my daily six mile walk-n-pray turned to “I want to go home.” which in itself was an interesting prayer because everything that was “home” was gone. The only thing left at ‘home’ was and still is my Congregation.

 

    On that day (7/25/11) on my six mile walk-n-pray, I was walking north on North Hamilton Avenue, just south of the intersection with Havens Corners Road.  Deep in prayer asking to go home, I was completely oblivious to all around me. All of a sudden I heard a voice so loud behind me that I turned to see who was talking to me. Startled out of prayer, standing still, looking south with just the sound of traffic I realized The-VOICE- clearly and loudly had answered:

 

“I SENT YOU THERE.”

 

     From that day forward, I have never questioned that I am supposed to be here. Often my human side gets home sick. Since Germany as a small child I have lived in many, many places. My joke when people ask ‘Where are you from?’ is to answer, ‘Everywhere and nowhere.’ I don’t need a “reason” to be here, just obedience. Maybe someday I will know, then again maybe not. It’s OK.

 

     Once when I was obedient and followed the command of the Ruach; I was rewarded in seeing the result. You can read about that here: ‘Double Header’. Most of the time the results of obedience are never obvious. We walk daily, trusting YAH to lead, seeking to hear The-VOICE- and act in obedience. Amen!
