9 Av 5771 08/09/2011 Event 5; I'm going to be late.

 

I was finishing my 6 mile walk turning onto James St for the last mile and was due at 5:30 back onto High St for a ride to Bible study. Realizing that I was 30 minutes behind schedule I rushed to make up the time, but to no avail. There was no way to meet the 5:30 deadline and no way to contact my friend. I immediately took it to YAH in prayer. “Abba, I am running late and am not going to make it". I did not have any expectation or specific request. I just talk with YAH all day about everything. What happened next took me by surprise!

 

Thirty seconds after my prayer a car passed me and the driver yelled: "Do you want a ride?"  I was stunned! Never in 6 months of walking in Columbus has a person in a car EVER stopped to offer a ride. In five years living here and walking six miles a day in many parts of the city, I have never had a person again stop and offer a ride.

 

I walked up to the car and said to the driver: "Do I know you?" He identified himself as the neighbor four doors down the street. That's right! We had had a great conversation one day as I walked past. I told my neighbor that he was a gift from YAH. He then explained that he felt extremely blessed by what YAH had done in his life. We had a great conversation, and I was now back on time, on schedule.

Once again YAH answers a prayer for even a small thing.
