... a light for the revelation of the Gentiles.

LISTEN-UP!

Ed! That day, I had a double header!

To be a witness and testify to the things that ABBA Father does as HE raises up HIS GREAT NAME, gives me joy to my core! The body is supposed to work together for common good, as YAH raises up his Great NAME. The realization that YAH brought together three complete strangers to accomplish HIS will sends shivers through me. What would have happened if any of us had ignored the command?

“Go talk to him!”

7 Sevan 5775, The Day after Shavuot (5/25/2015)

Being in a hurry, I went to a local store to get a couple of items and not stay long. As I walked through the store I noticed a man working with an item I was interested in. It went through me to go talk to him but I had second thoughts because I did not have a lot of time. As I turned to walk away I heard -The-VOICE- command: "Go talk to him!" Thinking only about the items I was interested in, I instantly started praying and debating: "I don't have time. I don't need them now. I can come back later today." Then I stopped cold and realized that it was a command, not a request, not a thought, not a 'nice to do'. ---A command.  So I walked over to the man and said: "I don't know what your faith is or what you believe about YAH, but: The Holy Spirit told me to come talk to you." The man did not bat an eye. We made a connection based on his believing in Y’shua. We had a lively conversation right there in the store. I told him the story of how YAH healed me of Macular Degeneration. I was caught up in remembering details and relating them and then was shocked to realize that the man had tears streaming down his face. Not a few tears, a constant flow of tears, unashamed. We had a great conversation but then I realized that I was taking up his work time, so I made my good-byes and left. Still I had no personal calling card to leave with him. For the rest of the day he was on my mind. Why all the tears? I vowed to print calling cards and go back with one for him.

The next week I went back with calling cards and immediately found Ken. I gave him a card and expected to be on my way. But then he said "Ed, last week I had a double-header." I looked at him puzzled. Ken continued. "That morning you came in and told me about being healed of Macular Degeneration. On the same day in the afternoon a very well dressed African-American man came over and said exactly the same words to me. "The Holy Spirit told me to come talk to you." That man then told me the story of laying in Hospice dying and YAH healing him. As Ken was telling me the other man's testimony he was again in tears. When he finished telling me the other man's testimony, he pulled the top of his shirt down a little way to reveal the scar on his throat. It was an angry cut from surgery just beginning to fully heal. I never understood what caused the need for surgery, but I do know that the diagnosis was life threatening. Apparently Ken has to wait to be fully healed.

We never know why we are commanded to do or say something. We never see the full impact of what is going on. We are only responsible to YAH to be obedient to the small part we are commanded to accomplish. In this case, on one day YAH sent two Ruach Filled and Ruach led believers to Ken to look him straight in the eye and, essentially, say YAH heals! YAH loves you and cares enough to send two men to give you testimony of healing for your comfort. Why was it needed? What impact did it have? What did we accomplish. In this life we most likely will never know. Ken has moved so I will most likely never know! I pray that one day in the Olam Haba I will have the opportunity to look Y’shua straight in the eye and listen as HE explains. Then again I may never EVER know, and that is fine!

May we ALL, being obedient, hear and then do, watching HIS GREAT NAME being raised up!
